We had such great times as one big family at Patio Springs. Dede & Mom would pile all of us in the station wagon with a cooler full of sandwiches & a thermos of lemonade, off we´d go for a full day of swimming and fun. Dede always being the driver.
I remember going to the catholic church with them one time and I needed a head covering. Dede walked over to her table in the front room, lifted up the lamp, removed the doily from underneath it, and slapped it on my head so we could get going.
Booboo loved going up to see Dede, he knew treats & lots of love were there for him.
Give Booboo a hug for me, and not too many treats.
I love you Dede & I know your back healthy. A well deserved rest.

Aunt Helen was a welcome presence during my childhood and a generous hostess after I grew up. She was famous in the Kenny family for making the BEST birthday cakes; hers were always our first choice for a party. Her patience was evident during the extended goodbyes that could be expected at the end of family dinners and picnics. Her droll humor came in handy when the Kenny men got riled up during a discussion around the table. And, she was quick to laugh at the antics of her children, the cousins, and her pet bulldogs, especially their snuffling sounds in the kitchen during a visit. We had a few adult conversations during my overnight stays while I was in Ogden to attend a family wake. I cherish those chats and will remember her with love.
