Helen Lesnick

Helen Lesnick of Rutherford, NJ, formerly of Clifton, 97, died peacefully on October 23, 2022. She leaves her devoted daughters Adrienne Lesnick of Montclair and Debra Lesnick (husband Paul Kreisinger) of Rutherford, granddaughter Elisa Kreisinger of Los Angeles, CA and granddog Gunter. She is predeceased by her husband Henry (1981), and sons Blake (1991) and Joseph (1953).
Born in Paterson, Helen was a longtime Clifton resident, until relocating to live in her own independent living apartment in the home of Debbie and Paul five years ago. She was fortunate to be able to spend her last weeks under Adrienne's care. Helen was grateful to Adrienne, Debbie, Debby McConnell and Paul for their loving and personal attention during her last weeks.
Helen graduated from Paterson Eastside High School in 1941 and attended Montclair State University. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Roloff Zembrowski Post No. 379 of the American Legion.
Helen was employed as an accountant at many businesses, until retiring in 2003-at age 87. An avid hiker, she walked with The Woodies well into her 80s. In 1973 she took a month-long solo Eurailpass holiday in Europe. She enjoyed summers with family in Cape Cod, singing and dancing, especially to big band music and musicals.
Helen gave everyone an ear, acknowledgement, acceptance, sympathy and a laugh and whenever anyone would ask her "how're you doing?" she'd respond "Oh, I'm doing great!!"
Family, friends and co-workers will miss her intelligence, optimism, positivity, common sense, wit and enduring kindness and humility. Above all, she was devoted to and loved her family, and they felt her love and gave her their love in return.
The heavens may have gained an angel, but those who knew her on Earth lost a loving soul.

and give you peace.
Visiting will be at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4.00 to 8.00 pm.
Funeral mass at 10.00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 124 Union Avenue in Clifton.
Interment to follow at Cavalry Cemetery, 58 McLean Blvd, off Route 20, Paterson.
