Jack Richard Hain passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on October 12, 2023. Jack was born on April 30, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Kenneth and Irene (Holley) Hain. He was the oldest of three boys, Jack, Ron and Rick. Jack graduated from Minorsville High School in Llewelyn, Pennsylvania in 1967. Following high school, Jack enlisted in the United State Marine Corps in February of 1968. Jack completed his basic training at Camp Lejeune then heroically served in Vietnam from September 1968 until October 1969. Once he returned, Jack finished his service at Camp Lejeune in February 1972.
After honorably serving our country, Jack moved to Northwest Ohio where he met and married his loving wife, Karen (Kitchen) of rural Bowling Green, Ohio on March 25, 1978. During his time after moving to Ohio, Jack held a number of occupations from working the line at Jeep, driving dump truck for various companies, and delivering janitorial supplies, mainly to his friends at the University of Findlay.
Jack and Karen had two children, Andrea and Brad. Together they share four precious grandchildren, Noah Keifer, Emma Keifer, Kaleb Hain, and Finley Hain. Jack was the goofy uncle and brother to many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Jack is survived by his wife, Karen; son Brad (Keri) Hain; grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Kaleb and Finley; and brother, Rick Hain. He is proceeded in death by his daughter, Andrea Keifer; Son in Law, Nathan Keifer; Brother, Ron Hain; Brothers in Law, Dave Kitchen and Jim Kitchen; and Nephew, Brian Kitchen.
Arrangements have been made private upon Jack's request and have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Tontogany, Ohio. Any donations may be made to an honorable charity supporting disabled veterans in his honor.
