Jacquelyn Donald-Mims Obituary
Dr. Jacquelyn is preceded in death by her parents and her loving brother James Reginald Donald. She is survived by husband, David A. Mims, Jr, son Devon Christian, daughter-in-law, Jessica, grandchildren, Maisie and Iris Roux; sister-in-law Francene Donald (Birmingham, Al), niece Travae and nephew James Reginald.
A life celebration service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11a.m. at the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, 4301 Tannehill Lane, Austin, Tx. 787721. The Austin Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will have an Ivy Beyond the Wall ceremony on Thursday, August 24, from 6-7 pm. at the Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, Tx. 78752.

My heart is broken on the passing of my dear friend Jackie. We met over 40 years ago and she was a major influence in my life. She helped me navigate my way in the corporate workplace and provided financial guidance in the real estate market. I saw her get married, become a mother, ordained as a minister and then go on to start her own church. She was a beautiful person...inside and outside. Rest well my friend; I love you and will miss you.
