Deb and Jim and I have many fantastic experiences at Backstreets in Darien and also Block Island where he and Deb treated me like family with generosity and love! I cherish them both always! Deb, you and Jim enhanced my life and I will never forget that. I am so sorry for your terrible loss and I hope to reconnect with you soon. Much love to you and the girls!

I am so deeply saddened by this news. We were neighbors for many years and I watched Jim grow up alongside my own children. May his wife, children, father and siblings find peace of heart and may Jim rest in the peace of the Lord. Roberta MacDonald

I was shocked when I learned about Jim's passing. Surely they must be talking about someone else. I first met Jim when he was in charge of the building project at the Long Ridge Fire Company. His skills and performance on the job led to a carrier change, when the fire company hired him as a professional firefighter. Jim became my partner when we began our 24 hour shift cycle. We had many occasions to work side by side on a job we both loved. Jim leaves a void not only in the firehouse, but foremost among his family, and my deepest condolences go out to his wife and children.

I was in 5th or sixth grade. We were neighbors with the Chevaliers for years. I was friends with his sister SUsan. Even though I was young, I could feel his kindness and down to earth nature, as well as his desire to serve his community.
May you rest in peace and power.
