Mr. James Leroy Davis, age 45, of Dupont, Indiana entered this life on December 10, 1978 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of Clarence Wood "Bimbo" and Paula Mae "MawMaw" Pyles Davis. He spent most of his life in Jefferson County or Trimble County and attended school at Madison Consolidated High School receiving his GED. He spent a brief stint in the U.S. Army. His relationship with Rachel Gullion blessed him with three daughters, Brittany Nicole, Jamie Lynn, and Desiree Mae. He had worked for Duke Energy through contract with Townsend Tree Service, also with Arvin Sango, and currently was employed with Pike Tree Service. He loved his daughters, his grandchildren, watching movies and being outdoors. James died on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 5:48 p.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital Emergency Room in Madison, Indiana. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute
A LOVING FAMILY
James will be missed by his loving daughters, Brittany Nicole Brown of Dupont, Indiana, Jamie Lynn Davis and her companion, Ollie Leach of Dupont, Indiana, Desiree Mae Davis of Nabb, Indiana; the mother of his daughters, Rachel Gullion of Nabb, Indiana; his grandchildren, Hendrix Avalos, Harrison Avalos, Bailey Avalos; his son in law, Bryan Avalos of Dupont, Indiana; his mother in law, Sandra Lewis of Harlan, Kentucky; his uncles, Thomas "Boddie" Pyles of Indianapolis, Indiana, Donnie "D-Bird" Pyles of Bedford, Kentucky; his sisters in law, Melissa Gullion and her children of Harlan, Kentucky, Michelle Bolton of East Enterprise, Indiana; his brothers in law, Mathew Gullion of Bowling Green, Kentucky, George Gullion of Madison, Indiana, Christopher Gullion of Canaan, Indiana; his best friend, Brian "Luke" Lucas; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Wood "Bimbo" Davis, died June 19, 2017 and his mother, Paula Mae "MawMaw" Pyles Davis, died March 26, 2017.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., by Pastor Caleb Brewster at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION
Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
