Janet Carol Byrd passed quietly away November 25, 2022. She was born June 9, 1943 in Pratt, Kansas to Edward Adrian Simmons and Elizabeth Carol Stewart. She married Vernon Geane Byrd and together they had two sons, Christopher and Jared
Janet was a mother and grandmother to many people and always helped when she could. She loved watching the Utah Jazz and the Kansas City Chiefs. She was on several different committees and was also a two-time cancer survivor.
She especially loved her horses and watching the sunsets on the Columbia Rier in Wallula, Washington. She loved Jimmy Swaggert and had a solid relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher (Niki) and Jared (Joanie); five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, Alan Simmons out of Great Falls Montana, and a sister, Jeana Parker out of Green River Wyoming.
She is preceeded in death by her parents and husband, Vernon Jean Byrd.There will be a funeral service Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
