Janet L. Perrine

Janet L. Perrine, 80, of Stroudsburg, died Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House - Pocono in East Stroudsburg.
Born on December 13, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Andrew G. and Lena (Moschitta) Giordano and lived in Monroe County for the past 48 years moving from Staten Island, NY.
She was a 1960 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, NY and a 1982 graduate of Monroe County Vo-Tech School.
In earlier years Janet worked for AT&T, Murray Hill Insurance Company and Berkheimer EIT. She then spent many years at the Monroe County Courthouse where she was a secretary in the District Attorney, Prothonotary and Assessment offices, and also a Tip Staff until retiring in 2009.
She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Stroudsburg where she helped with the summer festival for many years. Other community involvement included Scout Den Mother in Staten Island, NY, Monroe County Italian Club, Monroe County Garden Club, RSP at Pocono Medical Center, LaBar Village social club, and LaBar Village Board of Directors.
Janet enjoyed traveling, cruising, gardening, sewing, crocheting, painting and decorating, and spending time cooking with her granddaughter, Megan. She loved dogs especially her Papillon, Sadie.
Surviving are her loving family: three children, Joseph A. Perrine and wife Maria of Bethlehem, Andrew G. Perrine of Wind Gap and Lisa Rose and husband Adrian "Skip" of Stroudsburg; six grandchildren Nicholas, Steven, Jason, Jessica, Megan and Alex; a great granddaughter, Valerie Simon; a sister, Anita Susca of Queens, NY; a sister-in-law, Caroline Perrine; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her marital partner of 28 years, Joseph G. Perrine; and her loving partner of over thirty years, Merrill J. Reddinger.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with visitation beginning at 11AM followed by a Catholic prayer service at noon. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery.
