I was a friend of Jay and just heard the news since I wanted to wish him happy birthday. I am so sorry, he was a beautiful soul and I had some great deep conversations with him. O adored him and wish I would have heard so I could be at the service for him. He was a nice man. I'm sorry for his passing. I know that I will miss him. We had a few great conversations. I liked him a lot!
Be blessed my friend. May Jesus open his arms to you. You lived a beautiful life.

My thoughts and prayers to Jennifer, family and friends. I was shocked and sad to read about Jay passing away and hope that time will help heal everyone's loss and sadness.

I'm so saddened to hear this news. I'd like to share a story about the photo attached. I'm sure Jay has many golf tournament stories. In the regional tournament we were tied for the lead with 1 hole to play. We all missed the green on our final hole and the best option was on a steep bank behind and above the green. We all missed our chips, and Jay was batting clean up. Jay stepped up and holed this impossible chip shot to send us to the national tournament in Orlando. The story doesn't stop there. For our opening round in Orlando, we were all on the first tee except Jay. Just at the deadline approached, Jay came running up to the tee, no warm up, vomited on a tree beside the tee box (he had food poisoning), and ripped a perfect drive down the center of the fairway. That was Jay...grace under pressure.

The Norman's,
I was shocked and saddened by the news of Jay's passing. Jay was a good man and made a difference in this world!
I wish I could have made the trip to Minnesota for his memorial, but certainly you all have been in my thoughts and prayers this past week.
God Bless.
