Joan Teresa Moore was born January 1, 1946 to parents Ellsworth "Ike" and Rose (Langer) Moore in Northfield, Minnesota. Joan was one of 17 children born to her family.
Joan was united in marriage to Allen Miller. Together they had four children, Steve, Tina, Francine, and Bud. Joan cared for her family as they grew up and worked around the home. As her children grew older, Joan worked for a few different places in the Marshalltown area at Taylor's Maid Rite for many years before going to work for Walmart where she later retired from. Joan and Allen later divorced but she had kept in contact with his family through the years.
In her free time, Joan loved to spend time with her family. Additionally, she enjoyed crocheting, tending to her gardens and her yard, and taking trips to the casino from time to time.
Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her children, Steve Miller, Tina Miller, Francine (Jeff) Miller-Cox, and Bud (Trisha) Miller; her grandchildren, Paige (Kyle) Carnahan and Brooke Miller; seven siblings; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Rose Moore as well as seven brothers and two sisters.

I have fond memories of Joan occasionally babysitting us at the farm. She was probably 15 or 16 at the time. We thought she was So Cool. We turn the radio on Loud to a rock n´roll station and she´d teach us to dance on the front porch. Sorry that I never reconnected with her in adulthood.
Dance on Joannie.
