John Brown III was born on July 18, 1976, in Summit, New Jersey, to his devoted parents, John and Lillie Brown. He peacefully passed away on April 25, 2024, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
John's passion for sports led him to play football for Summit High School, where he affectionately earned the nickname "Browndog." While he may not have been the star player, his enthusiasm and love for the game made a lasting impression. After games, he often delighted everyone by singing one of his favorite hymns, "Amazing Grace," leading to the creation of the catchphrase, "It ain't over 'til the Browndog sings!"
Following high school, John relocated to Kissimmee, Florida, with his family, where he pursued higher education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. Later, he found fulfillment working at Publix supermarket, where he dedicated many years to customer service, earning admiration from both coworkers and regular patrons with his constant smile and dedication.
John was cherished by all who knew him. His genuine smile and contagious laughter warmed the hearts of many. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Lillie Brown, residing in Kissimmee, FL; his brother, Paul Brown (Patrice), in Tuscaloosa, AL, and his sisters, Stephanie Tisdale, in Port St. Lucie, FL, and Andrea Brown (Richie) in Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind nephews Quentin Brown (Raynika) in Ft. Pierce, FL, and Otha Tisdale III in Port St. Lucie, FL, as well as two great-nieces, Mya and Riley. John will be dearly missed by his beloved family members, including Otha Tisdale, Jr., in East Orange, NJ, and his special uncle, Ivory Joe (Audrey), in Alabama, and aunt, Mary (William), in Pennsylvania, alongside numerous other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
A memorial service to celebrate and honor John's life will be held at Bells Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
