John Cardinal Obituary

Cardinal, John W. age 60 of St. Paul passed away peacefully on August 5th at the Good Samaritan Society – Specialty Care Community in Robbinsdale from complications of Huntington's disease.
Preceded in death by parents, Jerome and Lorraine Cardinal. Survived by his brother Kevin (Theresa); nieces and nephews; Allison Hock (Aaron), Kristin Cardinal (Sam), Robert Cardinal (Ashley), Elizabeth Cardinal, and William Cardinal; great nephews Augustine and Peter Cardinal; Charles, Henry, Bennett, and Declan Hock. John's life contained a long list of friends, of special note are: Mike Dressen, Tim McGrath, and Tony Bilotta. Also acknowledged are his innumerable friends from Stages Theatre Company in Hopkins, the Roseville Area Middle School Theatre, and the friends he made over the numerous years of wolf watching in Yellowstone National Park. John's hobbies included furniture making and being an avid fisherman. Uncountable days were spent chasing bass and the elusive muskie. His favorite advice to those who fished with him was to "set the hook hard and let God sort out the rest."
Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 10:30 am at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 Dale St. N., St. Paul, MN, 55117. Visitation will be Tuesday August 13, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave N, 55113. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Huntington's Unit at Good Samaritan Society – Specialty Care Community, Robbinsdale, MN.
