I am stunned to learn about John's illness and passing. I had the honor of working with him on and off from 1998 to 2010. He was extremely dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable. We spent a lot of downtime together on travel and had some great times. May God bless his family and friends.

How are you? . . . John was one of the rare individuals who would ask that and sincerely be interested in how you "really" were. He always maintained the courtesy of honestly listening. He demonstrated this within days of the first time we met and his suggestion of meeting once a week (strictly only the two of us) at the college pub so we could get to know each other and have some thought-provoking conversations. We were roommates, but there was something about getting away from all the distractions of dorm life and connecting one to one -- this was John.
More often than not, John seemed to lead conversations with a question demonstrating his desire to know your thoughts and feelings. This certainly didn´t mean he lacked his own opinion. Far from it, it just indicated he also valued yours. -- this was John.
Barb, Christie, and I won´t forget our walk around the lake with you and John that day. We saw how much John loved that environment.
And John, I am good . . .
Good because we were friends. Good because I had someone to talk to during college when it was needed. Good because you made the best years better. Good because we had some time in the last few years. I know you are still listening. Save a chair for me; we´ll have much to discuss.

I met John at our school, University of Bridgeport in CT. We both were studying engineering. From the start we became friends. He also was my next door neighbor so we used to see a lot of each other. He was full of energy and had great ideas. We did not necessarily agreed on every idea which would fuel heated discussions that would end up with having a beer or two together. He was very intelligent and always helpful with a lovely sense of humor. I lost touch with him after I moved to California but always asked about him from our mutual friends. John was one of those people that you meet for a short period of time but stay in your heart forever. I have loaded pictures of him from those days.
My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

John lived down the street from me growing up in Stanhope, and then later we reconnected at Picatinny Arsenal working there. I always enjoyed talking to John when we would see each other at work about the old neighborhood and family. Sorry to hear about John's cancer. May god bless him and his family during this time of sorrow.

I worked with John from 1987-1995. He was a wonderful guy to work with. He always said hello to me and had that infectious smile. He's in God's hands now. Rest in peace. Prayers and condolences to his family and friends.

Our deepest sympathy to you upon the loss of John. In the few short years that we got to know him as a member of the Analomink Lake community, we respected and admired the person he was. He did a great job beautifying what was a very overgrown area of the meadow. He was a valued member of the board and dam committee. He was a great neighbor and friend. John, a true man of God, will be deeply missed!

I knew John since 1983 when we both worked started work at Picatinny Arsenal. We played sports together and hung out with our other college and work friends. I got to know John more when he lead me to the Gideon´s. John had a heart for Christ. His passing is to soon but I know he is at peace with our Lord.
