John Gerhard Obituary

He was employed as Head Cook at Zinn's Diner for 42 years, serving the best in Pennsylvania Dutch fare. After retirement, he held many different part-time jobs, his favorite being his last job as a driver for Ephrata Area Social Services.
He is survived by his wife Sandra "Sue"; 3 daughters, Jill (John Hassler), Lisa Gerhard, and Joy (Scott Leister); 3 grandchildren, John Hassler, Abby (Matthew Morris), and Lauren Leister; 4 great-grandchildren; his sister Phyllis McClure and brother Kenneth along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Sload.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to St John's UCC Men's Brotherhood: 659 S. 4th St, Denver, PA 17517. Services will be private.
A special thanks to all who cared for our Pappy at Maple Farm and Masonic Hospice.
