Ray and I were not terribly close. He would give me a hard time about biking instead of running when I'd have a big race and that was the extent of our contact in recent years.
I do have a very funny memory that involved him that I'm sure will replay in my head in my own final moments. It's in that way that he'll live on for as least as long as I do.
You have my most sincere condolences. Maybe I'll eventually get that bike.

I am shocked and so sad to read this! John was a great guy! He taught my now 20 year old daughter how to ride her bike with out training wheels. I will always remember that day and John. Such a nice , easy going guy with a big heart . May he Rest In Peace. My condolences to his family

John. We had so many excellent times together mountain biking, at Moe. concerts and just hanging out. I just spoke with you about 3 weeks ago and we planned to grab a beer and catch up. I'll consider your departure just a postponement and now we'll do it a bit later I guess. I'll miss you and your unique wit and good humor buddy!
