John Melnik Skolka

John M. Skolka, age 64, born on July 19, 1960 in Plainfield, NJ, passed away on September 23, 2024, at his home in Yardley, PA surrounded by his immediate family.
John is survived by his wife, Kim; son, Christopher; daughter, Courtney; daughter-in-law, Jamie; and his granddaughter, Virginia (Ginny). John is also survived by his mother, Olga and sister, Suzette. John was predeceased by his father, John.
After a diving accident in 1980, John rehabilitated at Kessler Institute and finished college, graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan. John then ventured off to a stellar career for 35 ½ years at Johnson & Johnson. John worked in a variety of financial positions at Corporate and various other Johnson & Johnson subsidiaries. He was told when he retired, he was a legend at J & J. John's interests included watching and following many sports. He always enjoyed college softball and watching UConn Women's Basketball, specifically. His favorite athletes to watch were his children, as they grew up and played a variety of sports. He also enjoyed watching his now adult children coach.
When asked what he would want his Epitaph to read he replied: "I tried."
Services will be held at St. David the King, 1 New Village Road, West Windsor, NJ 08550 on Saturday, October 12, 2024. From 9:00am to 11:00am, you may pay your respects to his immediate family in the chapel. At 11:00am there will be a memorial mass in the main church, and a repass luncheon following at Noon in the Great Hall.
