Senior Master Sergeant John A. "Jay" Woods Jr.

Condolences to the Woods Family. Jay was an amazing person and leader. I remember the first time I met Jay, he was part of the USAFE Inspector Generals team doing an Over the Should Eval on my team at the Aviano Inspector Generals office. He shadowed me during mu inspection of a unit, and when we got done for the day, he provide a me sound feed back on how to be the best inspector I could be and how to apply a positive approach and demenor when questioning unit members. I used his method from that day forward as it made the whole process of inspecting people very positive. I saw Jay to this with every new inspector he encountered. He was amazing leader in Defender Nation and his presence inspired so many to be there best. RIP my brother.
