Died July 24, 2023
LAKE LEELANAU – Jonathan Carl Staudacher, 67, of Lake Leelanau, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at Munson Medical Center with his family at his side.
Jon was born September 12, 1955 in Valentine, Nebraska the son of Rev. Raymond and Gladys (Steffens) Staudacher. On December 12, 1989 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Leland he married Kim M. (Lang) Staudacher who survives. Jon's brother, Rev. Ted Staudacher officiated.
Throughout his life Jon has worked in commercial fishing, lawn maintenance, bartending, and house painting. In his retirement he enjoyed working part-time at the BP gas station. Jon was a fan of University of Michigan football and the Detroit Tigers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, telling jokes, showing off his math skills and doing his daily crossword puzzles.
Jon is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kim; his daughter, Katie; and his siblings, Lois Porath, and Barb (Al) Buelt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Ted Staudacher, Dick Staudacher, Ray Staudacher, Stephanie Livingston and Little Lou Staudacher.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1st with the family greeting friends at 10 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Leland. Burial will follow in East Leland Cemetery. Pastor Joshua LeFeve will officiate.
