Joyce Marie Marchetti

Joyce Marie Marchetti, 75 of Marietta Georgia, entered into God's Heavenly Kingdom on
July 4, 2023. She was born on July 12, 1947 in Lake Forest, Illinois to loving parents Gloria and Marco Grittani. Joyce graduated from Lake Forest High School and studied at Tyler Texas College.
In 1967, she married the love of her life Furio Marchetti of Livorno, Italy. They moved to Palm Springs, California in 1979 where Joyce opened her own business,
the Perfect 10 Nail Salon. She built lifelong friendships with her clients. Joyce was active within
her community and was often in attendance at The Palm Springs Film Festival and other locally hosted events.
She enjoyed creating floral arrangements and made beautiful crocheted blankets for all her loved ones. She
always had one foot out the door ready to go to the movies or her nose in a book. Joyce was an amazing cook
who loved sharing food from her Italian heritage with family and friends.
She was a loving mother, loved and adored her grandchildren and supported them through all of their milestones.
Joyce is survived by her husband Furio Marchetti, daughter Gloria (Roger) McDowell, son Michael
(Jenna) Marchetti, grandchildren Amanda (Jimmy) Martinelli,
Rachel McDowell, Kai Marchetti, and nephew Marco (Jack Wolf) Grittani.
Joyce was preceded in death by her mother and father Gloria and Marco Grittani, and brother Mark Grittani.
Joyce will be forever missed, her endearing spirit which
was the center of our family's world, will live on in our hearts forever.
A Mass celebrating Joyce's life has been scheduled for Friday, August 18, 2023 at St Theresa Catholic Church in Palm Springs, California.
Followed by Interment at Desert Memorial Park.
