One of my favorite memories of my father was every year before Christmas in Mexico, we would go to Costco and buy a variety of bulk candy . He would have me sit on the floor and place all the candy in a circle around me and hand me sandwich baggies to fill up with. It would go in a box and stay in the back of our Astro Van . Once we cross the border , he would hand out the goody bags to all the kids nearby. It so heartwarming when I think back at it. He made all the kids light up with a smile throughout our entire visit and I just thought he was the coolest . I know that made my dad happy. I love you Dad. I was able to see my dad for a moment last year after not seeing him in awhile, I've heard he wasnt able to recognize anyone but it didnt matter to me, in that moment to my surprise my father knew who I was, and we hugged and he cried , we cried happy tears and we held each other. It was 5 minutes of wonderful with him , I knowing who I was. I will always be grateful for that moment and I thank the lord in Heaven for that moment. I love you Daddy.
