Judith L. JONSSON, 90, of Wellsville, NY, formerly of Jacksonville Beach, FL, died Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wellsville.
Born April 27, 1933, in Palatka, FL, she was the daughter of Montfort and H. Louise Furby Calvit. A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, FL, she was employed as a nurse’s aide at Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Judy was a member of Hallsport Christian Church.
Surviving are: three daughters, Marsha (Michael) Van Vlack and Anita (Russell) Duncan, both of Whitesville, and Catherine Sigarto of Atlanta, GA; a son, Richard (Holly) Jonsson of MO; 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Sara) Van Vlack, Marian Van Vlack, Joseph (Shane) Lindsey, Jennifer (Craig) Schmidt, Tristram Duncan, Dr. Kellyanne (James) Howarth, Captain Keenyn Duncan, Richard Jonsson, Sarah Jonsson, Valerie Jonsson, and Sammy Jonsson; 14 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Angel Lalumondier. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Jonsson; and a brother, Henry Calvit.
Per Judy’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation was at OLNEY-FOUST Private Crematory.
Memorials may be made to SPCA serving Allegany County.
