Karen Brown-Jasper, a loving mother, grandmother and friend was born February 2, 1960 in Amelia county. VA. On Saturday March 16, 2024 at 08:32AM, God called Karen to external rest at Johnston Willis Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Carl Lee Brown Sr and Caroline Reed Brown.
Karen (better known as Karen Jean) was educated in the Amelia County Public Schools. Karen worked at Moslow's company for many years, which made plaques/trophies until her health declined. Before this she was a Dump Truck driver whom helped build 288 in Goochland, as this was her career working for Lee Hy Paving. Her favorite past time hobbies were knitting, putting together jigsaw puzzles, playing the game pokeno and of course having a great time talking trash and laughing with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Jasper, but leaves to cherish fond memories, one son, Rodricko Brown of Chesterfield County, VA; one daughter, Jewel Jasper Simmons, of Cumberland County VA; three grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Eric (EJ) Johnson and Rodricko Brown Jr.; one brother, Carl Lee Brown Jr. (Rose) of Conyers, GA; one sister, Colleen Brown Evans (Kenneth) of Petersburg, VA; one aunt, Queen Reed of Richmond, VA; a devoted nephew, Quincy Brown; great nephew, Caleigh Brown; three devoted friends, Iris Funn, Sara (Kate) Holmes and Patricia Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
