Kathy DeLynn (Patee) Watts was born on February 17, 1960 to William "Bill" Patee and Mary Nell (Burns) Patee. She was the oldest of three children.
She really loved gardening. Her husband, Joe Watts, went to college for gardening and home horticulture. He would have to work really hard to get anything to grow. All Kathy had to do was dig a hole, plant her plants and it was like magic, begonias, petunias, coleus, caladiums and her favorite of all was her giant elephant ears, covering the whole yard. She could grow the biggest elephant ears around. The leaves would measure a little over four feet from top to bottom and almost three feet wide. She always called her plants her pretties.
She was the mother of two boys, Brandon McFarland and Dustin McFarland. She loved them dearly and would do anything for them.
She had four grandchildren, Valeree McFarland, Colin McFarland, Aiden McFarland and her youngest, Levi McFarland, which her and her husband are raising.
She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. You didn't dare come in the house and root for the team playing against them or you would surely get an ear full from her.
She was preceded in passing by both of her parents and two of her aunts.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Watts, her two sons, Dustin McFarland and Brandon McFarland, two brothers, Randy Patee and Mark Patee and his wife Beth. Two aunts, Carol Herrin and Janet Pucillo along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Woodland Park Cemetery.
