Kelvin Eugene Cosey Sr

Kelvin Eugen Cosey, 63, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Kelvin was born on March 1, 1960 in Dowagiac, Michigan to the late Andrew Cosey and Eunice (Sanders) Cosey.
Along with his parents, Kelvin was preceded in death by his siblings, Toney Cosey and Shirley Ross-Cosey.
Left to cherish the memory of Kelvin is his son, Kelvin Cosey Jr; granddaughter, Kemonii Cosey; and siblings, Mike (Bonnie) Sanders, Andrew Cosey III, and Marcia (Jim Havens) Bishop.
Kelvin leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an engaging personality that touched the lives of many. Kelvin lived in Atlanta for 35 years and that was home for him. A man of simple pleasures, Kelvin found joy in the tranquility of fishing, the rhythm of music, and the warmth of good company.
His love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for sitting outside, soaking in the weather, and appreciating the beauty of nature. Kelvin was a down-to-earth individual, known for his genuine nature and willingness to lend a helping hand. His friends and family will remember him as a good guy who would do anything for anyone.
Kelvin also had a passion for working on his car, a hobby that showcased his meticulous nature and patience. His engaging personality and love for life will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions may be made out to the Kidney Foundation.
Visitation for Kelvin will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a Memorial Service to be held at 2:00pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 229-371 Riverside Dr. Dowagiac, MI 49047.
