MINNEOLA – Kenneth Ray Miller, 73, died in his home in Minneola on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Kenny was born January 27, 1952 in Dodge City, Kansas. The son of Clinton E. and Emma Jean (Neier) Miller. A longtime Minneola resident who loved to farm and also raised cattle, as well as a heavy equipment operator (road grader) for Clark County Road and Bridge.

Kenny enjoyed mechanics and working on his vehicles. Creating improvements on anything he worked on, and building things from scratch. He would lend anyone a hand if they needed it. He had a kind soul with a huge heart!

He was involved deeply in the community, along with being a member of several organizations. Hometown Market, Civic Connection board member, Appleton Township board and caretaker to the Cemetery. Served as a Deacon at the CrossWalk Christian Church. He was a volunteer firefighter, attended EMT class, and a former city council member.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Charles Miller and wife Sandra, of Guymon, Oklahoma; a daughter, Angela Miller and husband Michael Higgins, of Englewood, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, Dakota, Austin, Dallas; Eric and Ernest; and a sister, Linda Otte, of Salina, Kansas; Niece and Nephews, Carrie, Michael, Timothy, Christopher; Gary and Daryl; as well as many dear friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Lee Miller; and a brother, Gordon Miller.

Memorial service will be at 12:00 pm Thursday, November 6, 2025 at CrossWalk Christian Church with Pastor Brad Kefauver officiating. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to Civic Connection in care of Minnis Mortuary, 1901 N. 14 th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
