Lahsha Aileen Welch, age 72, unexpectedly passed away on June 20, 2023 peacefully in her home. She was born September 1, 1950 in
Independence, MO. She retired in 2010 following 32 years as a respiratory therapist; in her time she saved many lives. She was most passionate about her work in her specialty of neo-natology; work she loved and excelled at. Though her work gave her great purpose it was her role as daughter, mother to her two daughters, grandmother to her six grandchildren, and great-grandmother to her great -granddaughter that brought her the greatest joy. Grandma loved all of us deeply; we are her pride and joy. Grandma never failed to make us know we are loved and supported.
Lahsha is survived by her mother Marion Delores Welch, brothers Howard Welch, Kenneth Welch, Wayne Welch, two daughters Branden and Adriene Raleigh, her 6 grandchildren Lance Shunn(Raleigh), Britney Shunn(Petersen), Ethan Shunn, Katie Shunn, Elizabeth Shunn(Raleigh), and Sabrina Shunn, and her great granddaughter Zaire Raleigh. She is preceded in death by her father Delmar Dean Welch, her grandparents Ruth Scott Land, Raymond Scott, Sophia Welch, and Rubin R Welch.
