Larry F. Maynard (Grease), age 75, of Edgerton, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at UW Hospital, Madison. He was born in Elgin, IL on July 11, 1947, the son of Edwin and Maxine (Maynard) Maynard. Larry enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Panama during the Vietnam Era. He married Pamela J. Cobler on June 8, 1979, in Huntley, IL. He drove truck for Rosenbaum Sand & Gravel and later worked in their yard as a loader operator until his retirement. Larry was a lifetime member of the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club, where he operated a truck mounted corn sheller with his family. Larry enjoyed racecars, building cars and go-karts. He liked having a cold beer, going to casinos and visiting with friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Pam; daughter, Stephanie (Eric) Koebele of Lee, IL; 3 siblings: Donna Koehnke of Kirkland, IL, Ed (Scarlett) Maynard of Mattoon, IL and Jim (Nancy) Maynard of Genoa, IL; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Bill Koehnke; and step-son, Quint Ocock.
