Laura Mae Carter, 77, of Cranberry Township, PA, peacefully departed this world on November 27, 2023. Born on December 5, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nettie Lee Hunter Robinson and Alfred Robinson.
Laura is survived by her devoted children, Elizabeth Ann Carter and Peter James (Sandra) Carter. She also leaves behind cherished memories for her siblings: Rosetta R (Jon) Battle, Alfreda R. (William) Bennett, and Brenda Robinson. Laura was a loving grandmother to Alicia Michele Carter and Olivia Janelle Carter, and aunt to Julia (Rodney) Turner and Christine Bennett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and cousins.
Throughout her life, Laura cultivated various interests and hobbies. She found joy in travel when time permitted, and in recent years, you could often find her engrossed in a good book or enjoying a game of bingo.
A significant portion of Laura's professional journey was dedicated to the field of banking, where she served diligently at different institutions on Long Island, NY.
Laura often expressed that her most significant accomplishment, of which she was immensely proud, was the nurturing and upbringing of her two children.
Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Laura's honor to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/).
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
