I was Laurie's hair stylist. She was suppose to come in last Saturday for a cut, and color. When she didn't show I was concerned. Now I know y. This truly makes my heart sad. She was an amazing person. We talked a lot at her appts. I'm beyond words of this news. She will be greatly missed.

Laurie - It took a lot of courage for your family to be honest about your passing. I am in a situation where I am afraid of leaving. My experience has made me realize that you "Don't put your happiness in someones else's pocket". M

This is so incredibly sad. Thank you for being honest. I did not know Laurie or her family, however she sounded like an amazing and intelligent woman. May the love of family and friends help you through the days, weeks and years ahead. Rest in Heaven!

You don't know me, but I too was in an abusive relationship for too many years. So sorry for what you had to endure.

You are finally free Laurie. I fear leaving my husband will cause the same fate for me. You had the courage to do what most of us women never will...leave the abuser. Fly high sweet child.

Laurie was a great neighbor. She definitely had a love for dogs as I often found her talking to my dog and tossing treats over the fence for her. My condolences to Lauries friends and family.
