Obituary of Leonard Bruce Bundy
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith
2 Timothy 4:7
Len entered the gates of heaven unexpectedly on March 11, 2023, and heard the words he spent his earthly life awaiting, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23
His legacy is one that epitomizes serving the Lord and loving thy neighbor. His compassion, grace and wisdom were seemingly unbounded. There was never a moment that he didn't envision and strive for better. He had a massive influence within our community and his accomplishments echo globally. He spent his life devoted to serving and ministering to all around him. His passion never ceased, and his faith never faltered. He redefined selflessness for anyone who knew him and the love he showed his family was immeasurable.
With ideas overflowing, he was known as the "man of many hats" and leaves behind an avalanche of accomplishments. He grew up in Seattle but found his way to the country in Enumclaw to pursue his passion for horses and raise his family. He designed commercial kitchens in countless countries and across our nation. He coached soccer in ways that inspired youth. He was a minister, youth pastor and esteemed counselor. Len brought to life a renowned non-profit organization that helped thousands of people all around the world. He is gone but his impact remains.
From being the "Mountain Man", to sailing and motorcycles- his passion for trying new things led to many hobbies. Such as an affinity for fine cigars and conversation, rolling sushi, forging tools, camping, training horses and so much more. He was the kind of guy to give anything a fair try.
Len met Sheri in 7 grade, took one look at her and told his friend he was going to marry her. They married in 1981 and have remained soul mates to this day. He is survived by his wife Sheri Bundy (Ormbrek) residing in Enumclaw, son G. Nathan Bundy married to Jessica Bundy (Enebo) residing in Bremerton, daughter Allison Bundy residing in Enumclaw, siblings Valerie Venable and Dwight Shaneyfelt, grandsons Griffin Maverick Bundy, Boaz Howdy Bundy and Mihcai Amir Tru Westwood.
