Our beloved mother Lillian ("Lilly Paul") Phillips passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024. She was the daughter of Mary Jane and Norman S. Jinks, Sr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Her family was her greatest treasure, and she always enjoyed the family gatherings, especially during the holidays. She loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren and getting to watch as they became parents to her great grandchildren who all knew her as "GG." She enjoyed her travel adventures and visiting her family in Tennessee. We will miss her spiciness and zest for life. Lillian was a woman of Faith and loved her Lord Jesus Christ.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Billy Thigpen and wife, Tena, Irene Boston, Norman "Beaver" Thigpen and wife, Brenda, Meri Cormier and husband, Tony; her grandchildren, Natalie Thigpen, Bailey Thigpen, Corrigan Boston, Jackie Korman, Roxie Smith, Christina McCord, Jude Thigpen, Mason Thigpen, Claire Dufrene, Malia Thigpen, Tony Cormier, and Kellee Mosley; her fourteen great grandchildren, her sister, Norma May, and many extended family members who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jane and Norman S. Jinks, Sr., brother, Norman S. Jinks, Jr., sister, Jane Ann Jinks Williams, husband, Phillip E. Phillips, granddaughters Mary Elizabeth Thigpen and Ariel Marie Thigpen.
Services will be under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on Saturday, April 27, 2024, with a personal time for her family from 9:00 – 10:00 and public visitation from 10:00 – 12:00 with a service at 12:00 and thereafter her entombment at the Mausoleum located at Prien Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Stacy, and everyone at Harbor Hospice for the gentle kindness and loving care provided to our mother.
