Linda Susan Pruitt, 70, died at 10:58 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 30, 1952 in Alton the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Gleason) Gauf. She worked for many years for General Motors in St. Louis. She married Harry Pruitt and he survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Susan (Shawn) Flynn of St. Charles, Pam Porteous of St. Charles, Ashley (James) Calvert of Wood River, Paula (Kevin) Haddox of Lafayette, LA, Angie Pruitt of Alton, three sons, Michael Gauf of Moberly, MO, Jonathan Pruitt of Eldridge, IL and Terry Pruitt of Alton, 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Cooper, Laura Gauf and Diane Baker and three brothers, Harry Gauf, Jim Gauf and George Gauf. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Gent Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana, IL.
