Lisa Ann Hall Burnett, 72, of Gautier, MS, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, in Ocean Springs, MS. She was born March 17, 1951, in Laurel, MS to Charles Ralph Hall and Theda Windham Hall.
Lisa attended Jones County Schools, graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, and was a long-time teacher in Moss Point and Pascagoula School Districts. She volunteered and was a staff member for Cruisin’ the Coast. Also, an avid reader, hockey and Disney fan.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents and husband, James “Burnie” Burnett.
Survivors include her children, Jason Burnett (Sabrina), Minneapolis, MN and Wesley Burnett (Sol), Gautier, MS; grandchildren, Zoe, Logan, Amelia, Asher, Addisyn and Elliott; siblings, Mary Hall Patton (Keith), Centennial, CO, and Warren Hall (Shannon), Ellisville, MS.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit from 5:00pm – 6:00pm and join the family after the service for a reception. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, and Navy Veteran, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
