Madonna McFall Massey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory - Ball on Aug. 8, 2024.
Mrs. Madonna Anne Massey entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Alexandria, Louisiana.
The Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Pentecostals of Alexandria. The service will be at 7:00 p.m. with, Pastor Gentry Mangun and Bishop Anthony Mangun officiating. Interment will be held Monday at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana at 12:30 p.m.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Easton Massey, Chris Dargin, Cam Cook, Josh Datenhoff, Toby Stanley, Dale Rutland.
She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend James L. McFall; mother, Brenda Alice McFall; brothers, Cecil David McFall and Marvin Daniel McFall.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Roy Glenn Massey; children, Easton Blue Massey (Madison); Lenox Chapel Cook (Cameron); grandson Weston Blue Massey; brothers, James Richard McFall, Michael Douglas McFall (Krystal); sisters, Paula Walker and Elizabeth Kelly; and a host of extended family and friends.
In 1971 she burst on to the scene in Lake Providence, Louisiana with wide eyes and wispy hair. She quickly made her mark. Her signature laughter and ready smile became the staple of her life, and when she first touched the solo mic at age 11, it was stunningly clear: we have a gem on our hands.
She idolized her songwriting dad and doted on her mother. Her brothers became her chief protectors, teachers, and lifelong friends.
Diagnosed with scoliosis and wearing a body brace at a young age, she developed a lifelong empathy for the hurting and less fortunate. From this, it became her aim to make everyone feel special and included.
She was generous. She gifted vehicles, school supplies, meals, clothes, and cash to hundreds of people in need, and she never kept score. One of her signature lines was, "this is just what we do."
By her own admission, she was not a "kid person." However, she found a great calling when she became the mother to Easton Blue and Lenox Chapel. Her eyes sparkled when their names came up, and she made it her goal to raise "decent people who voted Republican."
In 2019 Weston Blue made her "Dolly." When he couldn't pronounce the double "L's," she surrendered to the title "Da-Wee." He became the central part of her life and made her smile the brightest it had ever been. "Wes Wes" became the crown of the final chapter of her life.
Despite being an award winning singer with a signature voice, she was most passionate about God's Kingdom. She served, loved, and adored God's church in such a way that she marked lives forever. She was the most loyal friend, the most faithful wife, and the most committed companion.
Today we remember her quick wit, her amazing stories, and her ability to endure trials like a good soldier.
Now... Mama is teaching angels how to sing.

Greetings to all of you at the Louisiana UPC. To Chapel and family I give my Heartfelt condolences. I only knew sister Madonna through her songs, she was a beautiful singer and appeared to be a wonderful woman doing a marvelous work for the Lord. Surely she is now singing with the angels. I will pray for God to comfort and strengthen you through your time of grief.
