Margaret (Peggy) Hansen, age 73, passed away on April 3, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born December 10, 1950, in Pawtucket, RI to Edward and Barbara Howard. She was the eldest of five children which included Cathy Marsh, Lynn Dussault, Sue Winsor and Skip Howard
Margaret married the love of her life, Richard Hansen of Ossipee, NH on April 29, 2006, in Richmond, RI. Together, they loved kayaking, fishing, watching the Red Sox and having family visit.
She was preceded in death by Richard Hansen (Spouse), Barbara Howard (Mother), Edward Howard (Father) and Cathy Marsh (sister).
She leaves behind her three daughters, Laurie Bessette and husband Gary, Barbara Comier and husband Bernie, Leigh Guilford and wife Jessica, and her grandchildren; Melissa, Diana, Jesse, Michael, Stuart, Jack, Brian, Aleecia, Brandon, Dylan, Logan, Shane, Damyan, Dom and Kayden and her Great Grandchildren: Adam, Kenzie, Tegan, Aurora and Lillyth.
She is also remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews, Richard's family members and the many members of her non-biological family, especially Finn, Jerrica, Lindsey, Joshy, and so many others she just loved unconditionally.
May she be forever kayaking and fishing, playing with her beloved pets, crocheting, playing Mario Kart and winning at Mario Party (at least once please).
In lieu of a traditional ceremony, her family is having a Celebration of life held at her favorite North Conway, NH restaurant Abenaki Trail May 11th 2024 at 3pm.
For those unable to attend or would like to celebrate Fifi independently, go to a drag show, stay out past midnight, go to trivia, kayak, fish, do a shot of alcohol you've never tried, live your life as best you can and do it with love.
