MARGARET MAES Obituary
August 4, 1931 - October 24, 2025
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Maes. Mom went to be with our Lord on October 24, 2025. Margaret was the beloved matriarch of the Maes family. Her greatest joy and achievement was having a large, loving family. As a mother of six, grandmother of twenty-three, great-grandmother of forty-three, and great-great-grandmother of ten, Margaret was truly the heart of the Maes family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael Maes, and three infant children: Louella, Anthony, and Leonard.
She is survived by her children: Gene Maes (Evelyn), Ruby Maes (Robert), Joann Gonzales (Andy), Loui Maes, Theresa Lopez (Leo), and Brenda Maes, along with their growing families.
Margaret had unconditional love for her six children and all of their families. She was affectionately known to everyone as Grandma Maggie. She had a fun-loving, playful spirit-full of laughter-and you never knew what she was going to say next.
Mom touched so many lives with her kindness and generous heart. We will miss her every day, but the cherished memories we carry will remain with us always.
