Mrs. Marian E. Hopf

Mrs. Marian Elizabeth (Bean) Hopf, 92, of 87 West Maple St., Adams, a former longtime resident of Williamstown, died on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at her home. She was born in Williamstown on March 11, 1923, daughter of the late Benjamin and Gusty (Mills) Bean. She attended schools in Williamstown and graduated from the former Williamstown High School. She had also attended the University of Massachusetts. Mrs. Hopf was a homemaker for her family, and had worked during World War II as a calculator in the former General Electric Test Dept., Pittsfield. She enjoyed needlework, puzzles and reading. Her husband, William B. Hopf, Jr., whom she married on October 17, 1945, died on March 25, 2007. She is survived by; 1 Son – William B. Hopf, III and his wife Linda of Ooltewah, TN; 2 Daughters – Virginia Campbell and her husband John of Chilliwack, British Columbia and Barbara Tarsa and her husband John of Adams with whom she made her home; 6 Grandchildren – Lindsey Holland and her husband Stephen, Christopher Tarsa and his wife Nerea, Robert Tarsa and his wife Julie, Susan Doray and her husband Gene, Jeffrey Campbell and his wife Rikke and David Campbell and his wife Marijke and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Norton Bean who died in 1995. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00am in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 10:00am until the time of the service in the funeral home.
