Marlin was born in New Sharon, IA, on July 15, 1936, to the late Icie and John Clevenger.
Martin proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army from 1958 until 1961. He was married to Mrs. Carol Hobert Clevenger on October 7, 1961, for sixty-one wonderful years. Marlin was of the Methodist faith. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, "tinkering" and staying busy doing woodwork and working on lawnmowers. Most of all, however, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Johnson, George Clevenger, and Alvin Clevenger.
Left to cherish his memory along with his wife Carol and son, Robert Dean Clevenger, are his siblings, Doris Capell, Caroldene Purdy and Murldene Wyatt.
In accordance with his wishes, Marlin will be cremated, and no services will be held.
