Dr. Martin Luther Brooks

I wanted to let the family know that back in 1970 I was taken to Dr. Brooks. Back then lots of folks did not have the funds to go to the Doctor. He examined me and told my Mother to get me to the hospital quickly. My appendix had ruptured and gangrene, the doctor at lumberton who performed the surgery told my parents I had a 50/50 chance, Dr. Brooks had a contribution to my health. I pray that this gives you comfort in knowing that he was a blessing to many. Praying for the family.

Praying for peace and comfort for the family of Dr. Martin Brooks. He was a great man who served many in his community. He was blessing to my family so many times over the years.

You were relied upon as our childhood physician..and that reliance proved to be very forthcoming and apt when you saved my sister's life once in your ' off ' hours.. we called you at home and her fever was extremely high..thank you for going above and beyond!! May you RIP now great leader!

Robeson County has truly lost a great man. He was a pioneer in his profession when the Lumbee people had very few doctors. I knew him on a personal scale since he was my childhood doctor. I will always remember his kind smile and gentleness. May he always RIP with the one who loved him most...his Creator!!
