Mary Jane Cooper, 95 of Holladay, TN passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at AHC Decatur Co. Mrs. Cooper was born on May 21, 1928 in Burke County, NC to the late William Henry Swink and Annie Speagle Swink. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Cooper, daughter Elizabeth Douglas, brothers R.G. In her earlier years she was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Drive. She was a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, giving monetarily when she was able but also cutting out and sending thousands of paper dolls and clothes for the children to play with. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers beds. She always made sure that visitors didn’t leave without some of her flower bulbs. Cooking biscuits and gravy was one of her specialties her family will always remember. She loved her family like no other, she was our rock. She loved her friends and her community. Her name was Jane Cooper but most knew her lovingly as grandma.
