Mary Tabacek Obituary

Mary Lynn Tabacek, 68, of Penn Hills, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, in her home. She was born in New Kensington to Joseph and Antoinette (Callahan) Tabacek. Mary Lynn was a 1975 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 1979 graduate of Slippery Rock State University. She was currently employed with the food services department of Duquesne University. She was an avid Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan and loved animals, especially her pet dogs, cats, and birds throughout the years. Mary Lynn had a generous heart and dearly loved her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary Lynn is survived by her siblings, Terri (Robert) Dubnicay of New Kensington, Joan Tabacek of Natrona Heights, and Susan (John) Costantino of Hamilton, OH. She is also survived by her nephews, Rick Horzempa of New Kensington and Robert (Anastasia) Dubnicay of Pittsburgh; great-nephew, Oscar Dubnicay; and her beloved dog, Dahlia. A private funeral service was held by the Rusiewicz Family of Funeral Directors, Arnold and Lower Burrell. www.RusiewiczFH.com The family suggests that any donations be made in her name to an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Ms.Lynn was a great friend and also a wonderful coworker we shared so many laughs and conversations over the years we worked together I´ll always remember the chocolate chip mocha from Starbucks I would get her every time we worked together you will truly be missed Lynn
