Ms. Maryellen Hickman

Maryellen Hickman, 86, died peacefully at home with her family and Coastal Hospice surrounding her on Friday, October 25, 2013. Born February 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Shenk Imboden and Mary Elizabeth Anderson. She graduated from JP McCaskey High School in Lancaster, PA in 1945 and from Penn State in 1949. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association from 1950 on. She worked as a registered dietician at Deer's Head Center for 25 years and Holly Center for 14. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1958. Surviving are her three children. Son, Ralph S. Hickman and his wife Gigi of Salisbury, daughter Sue Ann Vigeveno and her husband Fred of New Windsor, MD, and son Michael Paul Hickman of Tucson, AZ; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. Rev. George Patterson will officiate.
