Mr McDaniel was, hands down, the most influential teacher I ever had. He instilled in me such a love of literature that I went on to get my degree in English literature. He obviously loved teaching, and his students. So very sorry to hear of his passing

I´m so very sorry to hear of his passing. I was his student aide for 4 years, and I enjoyed every moment! He was much more than an AD, he was someone that would listen and gave wonderful advice. Mr. McDaniel, you have touched so many lives! Rest in heaven

I was a student aide for Mr. McDaniel at Iroquois High School during the 1981-1982 school year. He was the athletic director at the time. It was my favorite part of the day. He was so very kind. May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Coach McDaniels family. He was a wonderful man. He went to Manual with my mom and taught when I attended at Manual and Iroquois. I loved and respected him so much. Just saw him in January when mom passed. Rest well coach! Hug momma! GO RAMS

I saw Mike for the first time in many many years last month as he spoke at the alumni luncheon. It was like we had just seen each other the week before. His demeanor had not changed since we were at Manual; warm, personable, funny, abd caring. Mike was one of my favorite persons in school and counted him as one of my good friends.
I am very saddened by this news tonight, and and praying for peace and comfort for his family through this difficult time.

Mike will be greatly missed.I remember having many good conversations with him over the years about my dad who played on our 1938 National Champions.Mike found and shared photos with me of my dad that even I hadn't seen before, despite having my dad's old scrap book with many newspaper clippings.I'll always cherish that connection and will be internally grateful for his kindness and friendship.May he RIP God bless and watch over his family and loved ones from this member of his Manual family. Sincerely Mark J.Beck

Remember the day shortly after I retired that I walked into the Alumni office at Manual and asked Mike if I could help. "Charlie, do you know anything about computers? A little. Good you are now doing the Website."
