I still think of Mike often--classmate, teammate, fine student, and all-around good person. I hope his family has found comfort and healing with time.

Mike was 2 years older than me. We both went to St. Peters grade school in Kansas City Kansas, Rockhurst High School, and The University of Kansas Medical School. My last memory of Mike was seeing him at Mass in the hospital chapel one Sunday morning when I was first year medical student and he was about to graduate. He was a great person, and I admired him very much. I am not surprised to read all of the wonderful tributes he has received. He was man for others.

Times remembered!

One of my fondest memories are the Christmas parties for the staff at your home Mrs Ryan. We would spend the day cooking with Dr Ryan at the helm preparing for the event. Dr Ryan had a wonderful sense of humor and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and learning from him over the years. He will be missed but the memories will live on. Prayers are with you and your family Mrs Ryan.

Very sorry to hear of Mike's death. I just met him and Priscilla several years ago playing bridge and absolutely loved his sense of humor and the twinkle in his eye. I will miss him.

Dear Mrs. Ryan and Family,

I am so sad to hear of Dr. Ryan's passing. I was fortunate to work with him at Cardiology Consultants at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was so kind and supportive of me when I told him I stuttered and was nervous about my job. He shared with me that he also stuttered as a young man and that public speaking actually helped him. He helped give me confidence. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My wife Denyse and I had the privilege of working with Dr. Ryan as nurses at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was always sincere, focused and compassionate, and he appreciated the nurses who cared for his patients.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Ryan Family. While we never had the chance to meet Dr. Ryan, we do know him via Charlie and the apple does not fall far from the tree.

God rest a good man! I was privileged to know Mike since freshman year in Breen Phillips Hall as fellow pre med students. We roomed together (with Tom Gordon) in Sorin Hall our senior year. I was privileged to attend, with my now wife, Wende, the wedding of Miss Priscilla Murphy to Mike. A grand man from a good family. We pray for the repose of his soul, and for comfort for Priscilla and their children and grandchildren.

Still a little in shock over Mike's passing ... I didn't know 'Doc' long but he made a big impression on me ... he was a mainstay in the PCC fitness center and we bonded over a shared love of sports ... I would keep him company during his 60-min. rowing erg bouts (before Priscilla and I convinced him to try cross training) and he would regale me with great stories from his Notre Dame days ... Very endearing and passionate about many subjects ... Praying for Priscilla and family to be strong in this time of sadness.

I was very sorry to read that Mike had died.
He was in my class at Rockhurst High School and was a good friend and respected leader in the class of 1959.

Mike was an inspiration to me as a high school classmate. He always took the time to stop and chat and was interested in what everybody had to say. I had the same feeling over the years at the class reunions and a few other occasions. A fine man, and a true instrument of God's welcoming nature. A joy to have known!

Dear Priscilla, children and grandchildren,
I am so sorry to learn of Mike's passing. I will remember Mike as a true family man and friend, who made every day and moment count with his ready laugh, his quick reaction to events, his love of parties and gatherings with friends and family.
