WENDELL – Leigh Michele Pleasant Freeman, 64, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Michele was born in Wake County, NC. She was a loving and faithful wife to her husband Rickey Kendall Freeman of many years. She was often complimented on having beautiful eyes. Her memory will live on with her family and friends for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Milton Pleasant and her brother, Michael Pleasant.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, February 17, 2023 at Central Baptist Church located at 11109 Poole Rd., Wendell NC.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rickey Kendall Freeman of the home, her daughter, Melissa Olivia Stone of Zebulon, her son, Nicholas Kent Freeman (Melissa) of Zebulon, her mother, Sadie Faye Pleasant, her brother, Thomas Pleasant, her sister, Lisa Price of Texas and 3 grandchildren; Kierin Stone, Aven Stone and Cooper Freeman.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory located at 211 W. Third St., Wendell NC 27591.
