Nancy Sue Brown, 69, Wife of Donald E. Brown, victoriously entered her Heavenly home on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Born November 8, 1954, in Hartsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Gus Ballard and the late Clara Bell Hall. The epitome of a Godly woman, she was truly a reflection of Proverbs 31. She served her Savior and her family diligently; always putting someone else's needs above her own. A beautiful songstress, she led and participated in several music ministries. She also used her talents to lead and direct several ladies' ministries.
Aside from her husband of 49 years, she is survived by one daughter Donya Brown; one grandson, George W. Green IV; two adopted grandsons Jake Mims and Brandon Mims; several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Jessie Louise Rogers and Lynn Ballard, and a special daughter Melissa D. Mims.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Allen Johnson and Rev. Tony Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Dr. William Aldrich for the special care he gave. Thanks also to those at Lake Marion Nursing Home, McLeod RMC, and McLeod Hospice House for making her last weeks comfortable.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
