Patricia Jo "Pat" Carney Gower

Patricia "Pat" Jo Carney Gower passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 72. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by family.
Pat was the first born into the union of John R Carney and JoAnne Thompson Carney on July 20, 1951, in San Angelo, TX. She attended school in McCamey, TX from 1957- 1965 and completed her education at San Angelo Central High School in 1969. She worked at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens and for many years in the insurance industry. After 21 years helping clients with individual health, Medicare and Medicare supplements at Zesch and Pickett, she retired. Pat and her late husband Paul loved "Texas Music" and were season ticket holders at the Eden Green Apple Music Series where they made many friends. Known for her love of animals, delicious sugar cookies and kind heart, Pat will be dearly missed by all she has touched.
She is survived by her son Brian Scherf and wife Dusty, daughter Leslie Stuart and husband Nick, stepson Paul Gower Jr.; grandchildren Kyler Scherf, Christopher Scherf, Jarad Mease, Loren Froehlich, Kadyn Scherf, Riley Bell and Trevor Teague; Mother JoAnne Krall-Eisenbach; sisters Dianne Holland and Elaine Catrett.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Paul Gower Sr.; Father John R; brother John Rex and infant sister Sherry Sue.
She was blessed to have received such wonderful care and love from Schleicher County Nursing Home and St. Gabriel's Hospice.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Cassie's Place Rescue, Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
Memorial Service will be held at Harper Funeral Home, San Angelo, TX on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 2:00pm with Craig Meyers officiating.
