Patricia Ann Chaffin

Patricia Ann (Pritchett) Chaffin, 80 of Fort Smith, AR passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1943, to the late Leslie and Marjorie Pritchett (LeMaster). She graduated high school from Fort Smith High School in 1961. She married Melvin Chaffin on June 30, 1962. She was the Co-owner of Simply Country Wholesale for 30+ years side by side her husband helping him manage the company finances and customer contact. She was active in bowling, loved crossword puzzles, popcorn, anything Elvis, she was a huge Razorback fan especially basketball and she loved attending all her kids/grandkids sporting and other events.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Pritchett and Franklin and Marjorie Stetson, great-grandson Sawyer Halsey, sister in laws Norma Childers and Edith Gregory along with brother in laws Charles Chaffin and Billy Chaffin.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin of 61 years, Daughters and (spouse), Tammy Holmberg (Steve) and Lisa Halsey (Buddy) all of Fort Smith, Arkansas and son, Clark Chaffin of Springfield, Missouri. Grandchildren and (spouse) Brandon Halsey (Courtney) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Nicholas Halsey of Clermont, Florida, Logan Halsey (London) and Andrew Chaffin (Larissa) all of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Hayden Holmberg (Brianna) Pocola, Oklahoma and Lauren Chaffin, Springfield, Missouri. Great-grandchildren, Bryson Halsey, 13, Cooper Halsey, 11, Parker Halsey, 8, Chandler Halsey 5, Lexan Halsey, 1 and Evan Chaffin, 9 months, sister Deronda Davis and her husband Jim, sister in law Patsy Jones, brother in law James Chaffin and his wife Thelma, brother in law Tommy Chaffin, sister in law Sue Hopkins along with brother in law Doyle Chaffin and his wife Monica.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 5pm-7pm. at Lewis Funeral Home, 4817 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, AR 72904. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Halsey, Logan Halsey, Hayden Holmberg, Andrew Chaffin, Vince Chaffin and Bradley Bernard. Funeral service will be on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 5100 S. 31 St. Fort Smith, AR 72901with interment at Barling Cemetery, 203 12th St., Barling, AR 72923.
