Patricia L. Keene, 77, of Marion, Indiana, passed away on December 9, 2024, at Marion Health. She was born on September 21, 1947, in Marion, Indiana, to Wesley and Thelma (Martin) Apple.
Patricia was a proud graduate of Mississinewa High School, Class of 1966. After completing her education, she moved on to a fulfilling career, retiring from Sharp Manufacturing in Memphis, Tennessee.
Known for her love of painting, Patricia found joy in expressing herself through art. She was also a dedicated worker, never afraid to roll up her sleeves and tackle any challenge. Most of all, Patricia cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, whose lives she deeply influenced with love and wisdom.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri (Jock) Gibson of Fairmount, Indiana, and Jennifer Steele of Arkansas; her siblings, Janice Wood of Anderson, Indiana, and David (Cathy) Apple of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Ashley (Jacob) Dresen, Cody (Whitney) Cook, Jessica Good, Spencer (Katie) Good, and Kala (James) Knox; as well as 22 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Thelma Apple, and her grandson-in-law, Derek Good.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953. A cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
