October 15, 2025
Philip Briel Lloyd, 66, of Clear Brook, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Philip was born in 1959 in Fredericksburg, VA, the son of the late Dr. Thomas Stacy Lloyd and Jane Blalock Lloyd. He was a graduate of James Monroe High School, Class of 1977. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Richmond and studied to become a Physician Assistant at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.
After practicing as a Physician Assistant in Winchester, Philip went on to open his own business, Biochemed Services. He started the business from the ground up, and this coming year the company will celebrate 30 years in his honor.
Philip was a devoted Christian. He attended Victory Church for many years, later attending Winchester Church of God. Among his many hobbies and interests, he loved music of all kinds-especially classic rock, hard rock, and heavy metal. He also had a deep interest in history, particularly the Civil War. Philip was an avid reader and writer. Though he enjoyed many pursuits, his greatest passion in life was his children and family. Philip had such a natural ability to connect with everyone around him.
In his younger years, he devoted his time to coaching all four of his children in soccer through every stage. He had an undeniable passion for sports and for seeing his children succeed on and off the field. Philip coached soccer through Blue Ridge Youth Soccer for many years and was also very active in the James Wood Athletic Association. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Kiwanis Club. Most recently, he volunteered as a tour guide for the Civil War Museum on the Old Town Walking Mall in Winchester.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 41 years, Regina "Gina," whom he married on May 26, 1984; his favorite daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Lloyd Dailey (Jacob) of Winchester, VA; and his three sons who shared many of his passions and interests: George "Thomas" Briel Lloyd (Katie) of Centennial, CO; Andrew Philip Zeiss Lloyd (Lauryn) of Mancos, CO; and Zachary Gordon Cooper Lloyd (Kate) of Aurora, CO.
He is also survived by his eight beloved grandchildren: Janna, Reed, Eva, and Aliza Dailey of Winchester, VA; and Owen, Luke, Avery, and Cora Lloyd of Centennial, CO. Additional survivors include his sister, Holly Saunders (Jeff) of Glen Allen, VA; brothers, Thomas Scott Lloyd (Cathy) of Bedford, PA, and William Lloyd of Glen Allen, VA; his stepmother, Marilyn Holasek Lloyd; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Jean Parker.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Fox Meadow Barn, 350 Old Firehouse Lane, Winchester, VA 22602, with a time of food and fellowship to follow. Interment will take place at a later date for immediate family at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Philip to Special Love, Inc.
